Take an existing gelati cart and convert it into a fully operational crêpe cart, ready for markets, festivals, and pop-up events.
The client wanted a cart that could serve hot, made-to-order crêpes with ease, while still maintaining the charm and portability of their existing setup.
🔧 The Process
Turning a cart built for cold desserts into one designed for a hotplate and active cooking takes a little creativity and a lot of craftsmanship.
Here’s what we did:
✅ Reinforced the Frame & Bench Space
Crêpe-making requires a strong, heat-safe bench to support heavy-duty crêpe plates. We reinforced the structure and created a durable workspace that could handle the heat (literally).
✅ Installed Commercial-Grade Crêpe Plates
We integrated high-quality electric crêpe makers directly into the countertop, ensuring perfect temperature control for consistent cooking.
✅ Upgraded Power & Ventilation
We updated the power system to safely run heating equipment and added hidden ventilation to manage steam and cooking heat — without compromising the cart’s aesthetic.
✅ Added Storage & Prep Features
New built-in storage compartments were added for batter, toppings, utensils, and cleaning gear — making it easy for staff to work efficiently in any setting.
✅ Custom Branding & Finishing Touches
Finally, we gave the cart a fresh new look with the client’s branding, making it not only functional but eye-catching and on-brand.
The client first found us through seeing one of our Coffee Carts on display at a local cafe. They then contacted us to refurbish their current uni.
